Dame Edna Everage is an extremely unique actress in that she is actually a fictional character played by comedian Barry Humphries, although she fully denies this fact, calling Humphries her manager. Edna Everage has had more than her fair share of fame, appearing on Broadway and in both television and movies. Her Broadway stage performances include shows such as Children and Art, Dame Edna: The Royal Tour, and Dame Edna: Back With a Vengeance. In television, she held a guest role for the hit series Ally McBeal in 2001 and 2002, guest appearances in Saturday Night Live, and frequent spots on the popular late night shows of David Letterman and Jay Leno. Dame Edna Everage sure knows how to entertain and that’s exactly what she does in All About Me. The creativity and wit of her character is apparent in every performance she does and without her on the All About Me cast, the show wouldn’t be the same!
Michael Feinstein is a multi-talented cast-member who is known as a singer, pianist, and music revivalist. His career began singing in piano lounges, and has since sky-rocketed to Broadway success. Feinstein won a Drama Desk Award in 1988 for his solo Broadway show, Isn’t it Romantic. He performs several of Ira Gershwin’s unpublished work, including albums “Nice Work if You Can Get It” and “Michael and George.” Feinstein’s success as an artist is undeniable, as he also performs cabaret at his very own Manhattan nightclub, Feinstein’s at the Regency. All About Me is the next big thing on his list, and he sure does make the show!
